Born in 2003 in Arkhangelsk, Varvara Kutuzova moved two years with her family to Moscow. She began studying music at age four and currently attends the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, now she is studying at the Gnesin school in the class of Professor Mikhail Khokhlov. 

The young musician is the recipient of scholarships from the Vladimir Spivakov and New names charitable foundations, as well as the Valery Zolotukhin foundation. She has received awards at many international competition, including 21st Century Art in Vorsel (Ukraine, 2009, 1st Prize), Prima Artist in New York (2011, 1st Prize), the Villuan Contest in Nizhny Novgorod, (2011, 1st Prize), the Skavronsky Contest in Volgodonsk (2012, 2nd Prize), the Artobolevskaya Contest in Moscow (2012, 2nd Prize), and Astana Piano Passion in Kazakhstan (2013, 1st Prize). In 2013-2014, Varvara won top prize at international internet competitions hosted in Mexico and Serbia. Her latest achievements include awards at Grand Piano Competition international contest, the Nutracker TV contest («The Silver Nucktraker and the audience favourite award») and Nota Bene contest (1st Prize and the audience favourite award), all of which came in 2016-2017. 

At the age of eight, Varvara had her first solo recital in Moscow and since then she has regularly performed on the major stages of the Russian capital, including the Conservatory, the Philharmonic Hall and the House of Music, the Bolshoy Theatre and the State Kremlin Palace, in addition to touring in Russia and abroad. She has participated in many international festivals under the patronage of Denis Matsuev and Vladimir Spivakov, as well as Annecy Classic in France, ArtDialog in Switzerland and other events. Varvara is a regular participant in the Days of Moscow cultural project in France, Slovenia, China and other countries. In 2015, the piano virtuoso toured in Armenia, took part in Russia Day of the World project, performing with the Soloists of St. Petersburg chamber ensemble under the direction of Mikhail Gantvarg in Rio de Janeiro. 

Varvara Kutuzova has played with famous Russian ensembles, including the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and the State Chamber Orchestra Virtuosos of Moscow (conductor Vladimir Spivakov), the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra (conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev), the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra (conductor Denis Vlasenko), the Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan (conductor Alexander Sladkovsky), the Pavel Slobodkin Centre Orchestra, the Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra, and other. She has also performed with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic Kazakhstan (conductor Erzhan Dautov), the Symphony orchestra of the Conservatory in Nice (conductor Philippe Auguin), the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, and many other. In the 2017/18 season, the pianist performed for the first time with the E.F.Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia and the renowned Borodin Quartet. 

In 2018 Varvara opened own project «concert-lecture about music» with art historian Sergej Khohlov, also she participated in festival «Nine magic notes» in Shanghai cooperation organization (China). In 2018, she is the winner of the 1st prize " Young talents of Russia". This year Varvara performs solo and with orchestras in Russia and abroad (Festival of Arturo Benedetti Michelangelo (Italy), a solo concert from the Rachmaninoff Foundation at the Villa Senar (Switzerland), concerts in Magdeburg, Voronezh, Kazan, Moscow and other cities.
